One of those days!

Does this happen to anyone else?

Everest came running up the steps and into the room this morning around 7am. "Mama, did you hear that loud pop?" (I had heard it and thought he knocked something over). "It was daddy's beer, it is making a mess."
I came down stairs to find yes, Nathan's beer was making a mess. He made guiness this weekend and it was fermenting so well, it blew the airlock off. There was enough pressure, that the airlock and some of the beer hit the ceiling. There was beer all through the closet. I cleaned it up the best I could and called Nathan.
We ate breakfast and and started a "normal"day. I went upstairs to brush my teeth and could hear the boys in their bathroom. When I went to check on them, Leaf was laying on the floor with his diaper half way off. Everest told me, he wanted Leaf to sit on the potty seat so he was helping him. Leaf had pooped and it was everywhere. So it quickly became bath time. The boys played very well in the bath. As they were getting out, my parents called. Leaf closed his fingers in the drawer and was screaming, and then Kenya threw up at my feet.
Fun times and it is only 10 am. Can't wait to see what the rest of the day has in store for us.

Finally Home

We left PA yesterday at 1:30. Leaf was asleep before we left the driveway and Everest quickly followed. Thankfully, the trip was uneventful. We stopped for pizza, but that was our only long stop. We arrived at home at 1:30 am to a warm 10 degrees! Gotta love winter in Indiana. I can handle 10 in the west with no humidity, but 10 here is down right frigid. Our neighbor Doug says it is just the beginning. Can't wait!
Everest woke up early asking if it was time to go to Doug and Lisa's to play. (Doug and Lisa would like us a lot less if we let Everest go to their house as early as he would like to.) We told him after breakfast he could call them.
I thought I would share a little piece of my heaven. Here are a few things Everest did today.
He lined up every vehicle he could find.
While Nathan and Leaf took a nap, (Everest was supposed to be napping too- I took one earlier with Leaf, while Nathan and Everest unloaded the truck- Thanks!) Everest decided Kenya was cold. This is what I saw when I went to check on everyone.

Kenay is such a good sport. I can't believe she is 12. I do not know what we will do when she is gone.Hope you had a wonderful holiday. We had a great time visiting everyone. We miss you.

Begging

Leaf has been feeding himself more lately. Boy this kid can eat...at least that is what we thought. Kenya has been begging a lot more often and it is driving me crazy. (She rode to Pennsylvania with Bonnie. She is staying with my parents until we get there in 2 weeks. I am driving with the kids, so we figured one less thing to worry about would be good.) Kenya has been gone for 3 days and I am realizing, Leaf is not a tidy eater.

No wonder Kenya lays under his chair when he eats, even though we constantly chase her off. This was after one meal! I had no idea he was so messy. My floor is always so clean after he eats.
