tire swing

Papa built a tire swing for the boys earlier this summer. I have been meaning to post it, but other things have been keeping us busy. The tire swing is very sturdy and loved by the boys, neighbors and anyone who visits. My dad was very proud of the tire swing. He is putting making one for my grama's house in Brockway for all my cousins to enjoy.

Nonnie pushing Everest and Leaf on their swings.

Whoo hoo! The tire swing is awesome!

When both swings are being used, you have to coordinate so they do not crash. We need to find a better place for Leaf's swing. It swings crooked where it is.

Leaf sucks his fingers the minute he gets into the swing. He loves to swing. Thanks Papa!

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

Today is Papa's birthday! Happy Birthday Papa. If you know my dad, give him a call and wish him a happy birthday. He drives us all crazy at times, but he would do anything to help someone out. Papa and Nonnie are visiting again in 16 days!!!!! Can't wait to see them. I wish we were still in the mountains to take Papa to one of his favorite places. Maple Grove Hotsprings (it was about 45 minutes from our house in UT-very well worth the drive). As you can see we tried to get Papa to the hotsprings every time he came.

(I can't get the underlining off this part-sorry about that)

Papa and Everest (16 months) enjoying the pool. Who do you think is having more fun?
Papa loves the water...the hotsprings or the Virgin Islands. Hanging out at St. John Island when Everest was 18months.

Maple Grove Hotsprings with Leaf. I think this was our last visit there! =(

We love you Papa. We are thinking about you today and all the fun times we have when we see you. See you soon. Love you!

Hurray for Papa!

Our family has been sick. Leaf had to go to the doctor for croup and Everest has a terrible cough, he can't seem to shake. Nathan has a cough too and is not feeling well at all. Nathan will not slow down, he still rides his bike to work every morning at 6 or 6:30 (yes, in 6 degree weather and snow...he says "I'm dedicated"-this is the most true statement about him in every sense), he still works all day and helps out so much at home. I have not been feeling very well either, but yesterday and today have been really bad. Nathan called Papa yesterday morning and asked him to come out and help. He is on a plane as we speak (or read). We love you so much Papa. I was thinking he would stay the weekend, so Nathan and I could sleep. He surprised us and is staying a week and a half. Hurray!!!!!! He is going to flip when he sees the disarray that is my house right now. We literally have been "getting by" for 2 weeks and barely leaving the house.
We give Papa a hard time every change we get. He deserves it =) But what would we do without Papa?????? We love you. Thanks for rescuing us Papa!
