Riding the Trike

Everest is having a hard time giving up the trike we got him when he was a year old. He got it out of the garage and tried to ride it around. He had a hard time because he is WAY too big for it now. I suggested he teach Leaf how to ride it and he got very excited.

When Leaf got on the trike, I realized we need to move the seat forward. With some encouragement from Everest, Leaf tried to get his feet on the pedals.

Everest was helping Leaf turn around.
Leaf getting on all by himself!
It only took two minutes of riding for us all to realize something was missing. Everest got Leaf's helmet and his from the garage. Then he decided to ride his bike for a while. He can ride without training wheels (we started him out without them, but he fell once and insisted on training wheels. Once we get them away from Everest, we are getting rid of them, so Leaf and the next baby learn to ride without!).
A walk down memory lane..........

Everest at 17 months, riding his trike (it was his 1 year birthday gift from us). He rode the trike in the house all winter. Gotta love hardwood floors!
Another picture of Everest getting ready to ride in the kitchen.
Can you see the resemblance in the boys?
